Please read this Acceptable Use Policy ("policy" or "AUP") carefully before using any Paxton AI, Inc. (“Paxton” "we," or "us") website, including, https://paxton.ai, or any service (collectively, the “Services") operated by Paxton. Use of the Services is subject to this Acceptable Use Policy.

We reserve the right to change this policy at any given time and will use commercially reasonable efforts to notify you of such changes. To ensure your compliance with this policy, we advise that you frequently visit this page.

Capitalized terms have the meaning stated in the applicable agreement between Customer ("Customer," "you," or "your") and Paxton. To the extent of any conflict between such agreement and this AUP, this AUP shall govern.

PROHIBITED USES

Customer shall not to use the Services for any of the following purposes or use cases:

  1. violating, or encouraging the violation of, the legal rights of others (including, allowing Customer Users to infringe or misappropriate the intellectual property rights or privacy rights of others);
  2. engaging in, promoting or encouraging illegal activity, including but not limited to selling illegal products or services;
  3. using the Services for highly regulated goods or services content, including designing, marketing, or distributing weapons, explosives, or other dangerous materials and gambling or betting on sports;
  4. using the Services for unlawful, invasive, infringing, defamatory or for fraudulent purposes (including, for phishing, creating a pyramid scheme, engaging in identity theft, or mirroring a website);
  5. promoting or facilitating violence or terrorist activities, including permitting or promoting the dissemination of hate speech;
  6. intentionally distributing viruses, worms, Trojan horses, corrupted files, hoaxes, or other items of a destructive or deceptive nature, or other malicious code;
  7. generating, distributing, publishing or facilitating unsolicited mass email, promotions, advertisements or other solicitations or botting;
  8. providing load testing, proxy and VPN services or CPU-intensive APIs (e.g., machine learning model training and inference/serving);
  9. generating pornographic content or content meant for sexual gratification, including generating content that describes sexual intercourse, sexual acts, or sexual fetishes and any content that describes, encourages, supports or distributes any form of child sexual exploitation or abuse in addition to Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM);
  10. violating the terms of service of any third party product or service;
  11. generating deceptive or misleading content, including plagiarism, academic dishonesty, promoting disinformation campaigns, creating dishonest comments or reviews, and impersonating a human by presenting results as human-generated or using results in a manner intended to convince a natural person they are communicating with a natural person;
  12. providing unauthorized or unlicensed money or legal services;
  13. using the Services to compromise the security or to gain unauthorized access to or interfere with computer systems or networks operated by Paxton or a third party;
  14. utilizing prompts and results to train an AI model (e.g., “model scraping”);
  15. encouraging or engaging in any form of self-harm or shaming, humiliating, bullying, celebrating the suffering of, or harassing individuals;
  16. using the Services for any of the following types of businesses, hobbies, or applications:some text
    1. Certain financial and professional services, including:some text
      1. Investment and credit services which are regulated, have special licensing requirements or require the processing of sensitive personal information (e.g., individual financial information)
      2. Cryptocurrency mining (Cryptocurrency applications are permitted)
    2. Regulated or Illegal products and services, and IP infringement, including:some text
      1. Gambling
      2. Counterfeit or unauthorized goods
      3. Illegal products or services
      4. Intellectual property or proprietary rights infringement
      5. Adult content and services
    3. Unfair, predatory, or deceptive practices, including:some text
      1. Get-rich-quick schemes
      2. Mug shot publication or pay-to-remove services
      3. No-value-added services
    4. Products or services related to:some text
      1. Drug paraphernalia
      2. High-risk businesses
      3. Multi-level marketing
      4. Pseudo pharmaceuticals
      5. Fabricating social media activity
      6. Substances designed to mimic illegal drugs
      7. Web scraping and crawling
    5. Political campaigning or lobbying, including: some text
      1. Creating targeted campaigns to influence the outcome of elections or referendums
    6. Tracking or targeting individuals, including:some text
      1. Facial recognition
      2. Predictive policing
    7. Criminal justice decisions, including:some text
      1. Eligibility for parole
      2. Sentencing decisions
    8. Automated determination of financing eligibility of individuals, including making automated decisions about the eligibility of individuals for financial products and creditworthiness
    9. Automated determination of housing and employment decisions, including:some text
      1. Making automated decisions about the employability of individuals or other employment determinations 
      2. Making automated decisions regarding eligibility for housing, including leases and home loans.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Any content that is provided to your clients, customers or other third parties must be reviewed by a qualified professional in that field prior to dissemination. Your business is responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of that information.

ENFORCEMENT

Your Services may be suspended or terminated with or without notice upon any violation of this policy. Any violations may result in the immediate suspension or termination of your account.

A violation of this AUP shall be determined in Paxton’s sole discretion. You agree that violations of this AUP by Customer or any person or entity acting under Customer’s account to use the Services will, in addition to any other remedies including possible criminal prosecution, result in termination of your access to the Services and deletion of your data. In addition, violation of this AUP may result in tracking information being stored to identify the offending person, and permanent restriction from holding an account on the Services.
